...עס איז באוואוסט דער מאמר רז"ל אויף חנוכה, אז דער יום טוב איז פארבונדען מיט העלדישע אידישע פרויען, און זייער אויפפירונג אין יענער תקופה, ניט קוקענדיג אויף אלע שוועריגקייטען און די פערשידענע גזירות וועלכע זיי האבען געדארפט בייקומען. און דעריבער זאגען די חז"ל, אף הן היו באותו הנס, און נאך מער - אז דורך זיי איז געווען דער נס. און עס איז דאך באוואוסט, אז יעדער יאר ווידערהאלט זיך יענע תקופה אין דעם זין, אז עס איז א עת רצון מיוחד צו שטארקען זיך און צוגעבען אין גוטער אויפפירונג, ענליכעס צו דער אויפפירונג פון אידישע פרויען אין יענער צייט - בימים ההם בזמן הזה. און לויטן מאמר רז"ל - אז א מענטש רייניגט זיך און הייליגט זיך אונטען, גיט מען עם אין דעם נאך מער מעגליכקייטן פון אויבען. און לויטן אויסדרוק פון מיין שווער, כ"ק אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע: מען דארף זיך צוהערען וואס די ליכטעלעך - נרות חנוכה - דערצעהלען. און השם יתברך זאל אייך מצליח זיין צו הערען און דערהערען, און בריינגען דאס אין טהאט-זאכען אין דעם טאג טעגליכען לעבן.

It is well known the saying of our Sages regarding Chanukah, that this festival is connected with the heroic Jewish women and their conduct during that period, despite all difficulties and various decrees they had to overcome. Therefore, our Sages say: "Af hen hayu b’oto hanes" (they too were part of that miracle), and even more—that through them the miracle occurred.
It is also well known that every year, that period repeats itself in its spiritual sense; it is a special time to strengthen oneself and add in good conduct similar to the behavior of Jewish women at that time—baYamim haHem baZman haZeh (in those days at this time).
And according to the saying of our Sages—that when a person purifies and sanctifies themselves below, they are given even greater opportunities from Above. And as my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, would say: one must listen to what the lights—the Chanukah candles—are telling us.
And may Hashem Yisbarach grant you success to hear and internalize this message, and bring it into practical action in your daily life.
