במענה על מכתבו, הרי כבקשתו אזכירו על הציון של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע לזיווג טוב בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד בקרוב. וע"פ מרז"ל (קדושין למד ע"ב) ראה חיים עם אשה, שמדבר בלימוד התורה וגם אין מקרא יוצא מידי פשוטו, הרי כשיוסיף בלימוד התורה תקרב הוספה זו ענין הזיווג גם כן. ואף שקיום המצות בכלל ולימוד התורה בפרט צריך להיות בקבלת עול, מפני שזהו רצונו של ממה"מ[2] הקב"ה, בכל זה ידוע שיש לכל אחת ואחת ממצות התורה סגולה מיוחדת. ובפרט זה, השייכות דלימוד התורה להנ"ל ע"פ האמור במס' קדושין שם.

In reply to your letter: as you ask, I will mention you at the resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, for a good match, materially and spiritually together, soon. According to the saying of our Sages (Kiddushin 30b), "ראה חיים עם אשה" ("See life with a wife"), which speaks of the study of Torah, while a verse does not depart from its plain meaning, when you add in Torah study this addition will bring the matter of the match closer too. And although carrying out the mitzvos in general, and Torah study in particular, must be with acceptance of the yoke, because this is the will of the King of Kings, the Holy One, blessed be He, nevertheless it is known that each and every mitzvah of the Torah has a special quality. In particular here: the connection of Torah study to the above, according to what is said in Tractate Kiddushin there.
