In response to your letter from 8 Iyar, may it be the will of Hashem that you succeed in your heavenly work—supervising the students of Yeshivas Toras Emes.

It is already known that the responsibility of a mashgiach is many times greater than that of a ram or rosh yeshivah, for their task is to learn Torah with the students and before them. In this there is not so much opposition from the forces of unholiness, since Torah is bread from heaven and words of Torah do not become impure; by their nature they contain no waste. Also, regarding the learner, it does not always affect him so much, since if, G‑d forbid, he is not worthy it becomes... But for the mashgiach, he must ensure that the Torah teaches him—as our holy Nasi said: one must become so united with Torah until it is called 'his Torah', for Torah and Israel are entirely one. Against this, the yetzer hara fights and draws in even the animal soul—with all its strength. But since our Sages said: even a head of a water carrier (Rish Garguta) is appointed from Heaven—certainly he has been given the abilities to fulfill this role; all that depends is his good will.

May Hashem grant success so that after a short time you will be able to say: see the students I have raised.

P.S. It is surely unnecessary to remind you that just as with physical life—even vitality within the body itself—is strengthened and increased by revealing the vitality of the soul, so too regarding 'the body' of Torah and 'the soul' of Torah as understood.
