Greetings and blessing!
In reply to your letter of 10 MarCheshvan: many thanks for the good news that you succeeded in being a good shliach to bring... back to the source from which he was hewn and to his root, in that he has returned to keeping Shabbos. According to our Sages and the ruling of the Mishnah, "מצוה גוררת מצוה" ("one mitzvah brings another"), surely further spiritual matters will improve with him, although of course on his part he must behave with extra care in this until he is properly strengthened in keeping Shabbos.
You ask what you should do to strengthen this. It would be good to try, in a diplomatic way, that his Shabbos and Yom Tov days be full of content, through his taking part in a class or through visits from friends and acquaintances, etc.; and in addition to provide him with (to send his way) patients, so that in the above account books too he will see an increase materially. Of course the above also includes going to shul, and it would be good for his wife too. The saying we heard from my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, in the name of the tzaddik R. Meir of Premishlan is known: "When one is tied above, one does not fall below." From this it is understood that the more the bond with matters above grows, the less the above concern...
With blessing for success in the above matters in general, and in your efforts to travel here in particular.
