במענה על מכתבו מעש"ק, הנה אין להתפעל מהזמנים והתאריכים אשר אומר הרופא שביקר אותו. וכידוע פתגם נשיאנו הק', אשר התורה נתנה רשות לרופא לרפאות, אבער ניט ח"ו מאכען שווער אויפן הארצען. ובמילא צריך למלאות הוראותיהם ולדעת שאין הם אלא כגרזן ביד החוצב, הרופא כל בשר ומפליא לעשות, אשר הוא ישלח דברו וירפאהו במוקדם. והצנור והכלים לזה בכלל ובפרט לאברך בן ישיבת תו"ת הם ההוספה בשיעורים בתורה תורת חיים ומצותי' ובהיסוד לזה עבודת התפלה.
ובימים האלו, אשר כלשון רבנו הזקן בלקו"ת פ' ראה דף ל"ב ע"ב, הנה ממה"מ הקב"ה רשאין כל מי שרוצה לצאת להקביל פניו והוא מקבל את כולם בסבר פנים יפות ומראה פנים שוחקות לכולם וכמ"ש יאר ה' פניו אליך, הרי יה"ר מהשי"ת שישלח דברו וירפאהו כמקדם.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your letter from Erev Shabbat Kodesh: One should not be disturbed by the times and dates mentioned by the doctor who visited you. As is well known from the saying of our holy Nesi'im, the Torah gave permission to the doctor to heal—but not, G‑d forbid, to make things heavy on one's heart.
Therefore, one must fulfill their instructions and know that they are only like an axe in the hand of the woodcutter—the Healer of all flesh Who works wonders—Who will send His word and heal you speedily.
The channel and vessels for this healing in general—and especially for an Avrech of Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim—are increasing in Torah study (Torat Chaim) and mitzvos; and foundational to this is avodah in prayer.
In these days—as stated by our master the Alter Rebbe in Likkutei Torah Parshas Re'eh p. 32b—the King of kings, the Holy One blessed be He, allows anyone who wishes to go out and greet Him; He receives everyone with a pleasant countenance and shows a smiling face to all, as it is written: "Ya'er Hashem Panav Eilecha" ("May Hashem shine His face upon you"). May it be the will of Hashem that He send His word and heal you as before.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that doctors are agents of G‑d whose role is to heal. We must trust in Hashem above all, follow medical advice without anxiety, and increase Torah study and prayer as channels for Divine blessing and healing.
