לאחרי הפסק הארוך נעם לי לקבל מכתבו מה' מנ"א בו מבשר טוב אשר קבל כבר הרבנות... ולאט לאט מסתדרים גם שאר הענינים, והרי ידוע מרז"ל (ב"ב י"ב ע"ב) כל המטיבין לו וכו'.
כבקשתו אזכיר את כל אלו שכותב אודותם על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להמצטרך להם, וכמו שכותב.
במה ששואל חוות דעתי אודות השתתפות בחוברת תורנית, הנה תלוי זה באופי החוברת, היינו אם תשמש להכשיר ענינים שונים - (וכידוע השיטה באיזה חוגים שקבעו לסיסמא שלהם מרז"ל כחא דהיתרא עדיף) - הרי על הראשונים אנו מצטערים, ואם הוא ענין של יגדיל תורה ויאדיר הרי מובן שמתאים לזה משתנית גם ההחלטה, וע"פ הרוב יש לברר הנ"ל רק ע"י היכירות קרובה עם העומדים בראש והמחליטים בכיוון החוברת, וברובא דרובא מתברר זה רק לאחר הופעת חוברת הראשונה עכ"פ.
והשי"ת ינחהו בדרך הישרה והטוב ואין טוב אלא תורה תמימה ביראת שמים.
לפלא שאינו כותב על דבר קביעות זמן החתונה, וחבל על אשר ממשיכים ודוחים זה.

After the long pause, I was pleased to receive your letter from the 5th of Menachem Av, in which you share good news that you have already received the rabbinate... and gradually other matters are also settling. As our Sages say (Bava Basra 12b), "All who are treated well..."
As you requested, I will mention all those you wrote about at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, for what they need, as you wrote.
Regarding your question about my opinion on participating in a Torah journal: this depends on the nature of the journal—if it is meant to legitimize various things (as is known to be the approach in certain circles who have adopted as their motto our Sages' saying 'Kocha DeHeterah Adif'—the power of leniency is preferable), then we regret those who started such trends. But if it is a matter of increasing and strengthening Torah, then obviously the decision changes accordingly. In most cases, this can only be clarified through close acquaintance with those leading and deciding the direction of the journal—and in most cases this becomes clear only after at least the first issue has appeared.
May Hashem guide you on the straight and good path—and there is no good except complete Torah with awe of Heaven.
It is surprising that you do not write about setting a wedding date; it is unfortunate that this continues to be postponed.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that before joining a Torah publication, one must understand its true direction and leadership. Only when it aims to strengthen Torah with awe of Heaven should one participate. This often becomes clear only after seeing its first issue.
