I acknowledge receipt of your letter from Rosh Chodesh and the 14th of Sivan, and from the 12th of Tammuz, together with the enclosed pan, which I will read at an auspicious time at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal lehe nbagam ziya.

I was pleased by what you wrote in your letter that the number of students has increased quantitatively, and surely you will remain vigilant regarding quality so that the institution maintains its desired character as intended.

Regarding what you wrote about doubts concerning accepting students from the Talmud Torah in Middlet: it is difficult for me to express an opinion on this since you write that you do not know the reasons and considerations. Nevertheless, it would seem there is no reason to transfer students aged nine, ten, or eleven from one city to another, since surely there are suitable classes for children of this age locally. Especially since it is assumed that they said the institution in question would be similar to a yeshivah and not a Talmud Torah. As above, this is only a logical assumption and not a decision since I do not know the specific reasons and considerations; in your case it would seemingly be difficult to maintain a yeshivah character if a significant portion of students are eight, nine, ten years old, etc.

You wrote in your above-mentioned letter that soon double beds will be finished; I do not know your intention here. But if it is literal—that two sleep in one large bed—this is very questionable and must be absolutely rejected... Perhaps this is not what you meant by "double."

Certainly you will inform me in detail about the farbrengen of Yud-Beis Tammuz. Also whether you arranged farbrengens on Shabbat Mevarchim. And also if there are possibilities for connecting with Bali Batim—but in such a way that there should be absolutely no concern whatsoever about diminishing the image of the local Rabbi; one must be especially careful about this.
