מאשר הנני קבלת מכתבו מכ"ב סיון, ויזכהו השי"ת לבשר במכתבו הבא, שמטוב הולך לעוד יותר טוב, הן בעניניו הפרטים והן בענינים הכללים - להגדיל תורה ולהאדירה, וכבר כתבתי לאחד שמקרא זה מובא בשני הקצוות דת"ת, הן בלימוד תשב"ר (רמב"ם הל' ת"ת ס"פ ב') וכן בלימוד התורה שהיא למעלה לגמרי אפילו מענין המצות (חולין פו, ע"ב) - היינו שלא רק מן הקצה אל הקצה, שכיון שמוגבל הוא בשני קצוות הרי נקרא קטן, וכמו שנאמר ביעקב - המבריח מן הקצה אל הקצה - כי קטן הוא אלא למעלה מהקצוות ולמעלה מהמדידה והגבלה איזה שתהי', וכמבואר בדא"ח בכ"מ.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 22nd of Sivan, and may Hashem grant you the merit to share in your next letter that things have gone from good to even better, both in your personal matters and in communal matters—to increase Torah and glorify it. I have already written to someone that this verse is brought at both extremes of Torah study, both in the learning of young children (see Rambam Hilchos Talmud Torah end of chapter 2) and also in the study of Torah which is completely above even the concept of mitzvos (Chullin 86b)—meaning not only from one extreme to another, for since it is limited by two ends it is called small, as it is said about Yaakov—'HaMavriach min haKetzeh el haKetzeh' (the one who connects from one end to the other)—for he is small; rather, it is above all ends and above any measure or limitation whatsoever, as explained in many places in Chassidus.
With blessings for success in all the above—the one awaiting good news.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that growth should be continuous—moving from good to even better—in both personal and communal areas. True advancement in Torah transcends all boundaries and limitations. We should strive for ongoing improvement beyond defined limits.
