במענה על מכתבו מי"ד סיון, הנה אף שקודם קבלת התורה הנה עמא פזיזא הי' מעלה וכמבואר ברז"ל (שבת פט, ע"א) אבל בכלל לאחר קבלת התורה (והכוונה בזה גם בכל יום ויום וכמבואר בדא"ח בדיוק בברכת התורה בברכות השחר נותן התורה לשון הווה) ובפרט בעבודה תמידית צ"ל מסודרה ובלי פזיזות ובמילא עליו להתעסק בעניני פרנסתו עתה בהשתדלות המתאימה מבלי שתבלבל בשעת מעשה הסברא להכנס בעבודת הישיבה, וכשישתפר המצב בהישיבה כמ"ש במכתבו הרי אז הזמן לחשוב בפרטי ואופני עבודה שם וכן ע"ד החלטה בכללות והשי"ת יחזקו בשמירת הקביעות עתים בתורת הנגלה והחסידות שגם זה יוסיף ברכה והצלחה בעניני פרנסתו.

In response to your letter from the 14th of Sivan: Even though before the giving of the Torah, being an 'impulsive nation' was considered a virtue—as explained by our Sages (Shabbat 88a)—in general, after the giving of the Torah (and this applies every single day, as explained in Chassidus regarding the precise wording in Birkat HaTorah in the morning blessings: 'the Giver of the Torah,' in present tense), and especially regarding ongoing daily service, things must be done in an organized way and without haste. Therefore, you should now engage in your livelihood with appropriate effort, without letting thoughts about entering yeshiva work distract you during this time. When the situation at the yeshiva improves as you wrote in your letter, then will be the time to consider details and ways of working there as well as making a general decision. May Hashem strengthen you in maintaining fixed times for studying both Nigleh and Chassidus, which will also bring additional blessing and success to your livelihood.
