ובימים האלו דתשלומי זמן מתן תורתנו המביאה רפואה לעולם ואשר ע"י העמל בה זוכים לגשמים בעתם ואשר הארץ נותנת יבולה גו' וגו' הרי יהי רצון שגם בעניניו הנ"ל ילך מחיל אל חיל הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות.

I enjoyed what you wrote at the end of your letter, that you brought a Sefer Torah into the synagogue with song and music as is fitting. Surely you have seen the letter from my father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory (printed in Kuntres Michtavim III) on this subject. In these days of compensation for the time of the giving of our Torah—which brings healing to the world—and through toil in it we merit rains in their season and that the earth gives its produce, etc., etc.—may it be G‑d's will that also in your above-mentioned matters you go from strength to strength, both materially and spiritually.
