מאשר הנני קבל מכתבו מכ"ה אייר, וחבל על אשר מאחרים כ"כ כשיש בשו"ט ואין טוב אלא תורה והתועדות חסידית שזהו טוב כפול לבריות ולשמים כמבואר בקדושין דף מ, ע"א ועיין ג"כ מכתב כ"ק אדמו"ר (מוהרש"ב) נ"ע הנדפס בקונטרס ס"א. ומובן שכוונתי בזה להתועדות דל"ג בעומר שכותב אודותה. ואם בכל הזמנים היו משתוקקים לקבל בשו"ט הן בגשמיות והן ברוחניות, עאכו"כ בדורנו עקבת[א] דמשיחא שאין לך יום וכו'.
בודאי יוסיפו אומץ בהתעמולה אודות זמן הוואקאנס, וכל המרבה ומתאמץ בזה ה"ז משובח, וכבר ידוע דיוק כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נדפס בהיום יום י"ז ניסן[2].
בברכה לקבלת התורה בשמחה ובפנימיות.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 25th of Iyar. It is a shame that there is such a delay when there is good news to share! And there is no good except for Torah and chassidic farbrengen—this is double goodness for both people and Heaven, as explained in Kiddushin 40a. See also the letter of my revered teacher the Rebbe (the Rashab) printed in Kuntres 61. My intention here refers to the farbrengen of Lag BaOmer that you write about.
If in all times people longed to receive good news both materially and spiritually, how much more so in our generation—the footsteps of Mashiach—when "there is not a day..." Certainly you will increase your strength in spreading awareness regarding vacation time; whoever increases and puts effort into this is praiseworthy. The precision of my revered father-in-law the Rebbe on this matter is already known and printed in Hayom Yom, 17 Nissan.
Blessings for receiving the Torah with joy and inwardness.
P.S. Please publicize among Anash regarding study during the upcoming Shavuos holiday—the suggestion here is to learn the Shavuos discourses from 5704 which were published some time ago by copy and are now also being printed.
