במענה על מכתבו בקשת ברכה בעד אמו תחי'. הנה כשאהי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, בעת רצון, אזכירה להמצטרך לה. וצריך הי' לכתוב לה שצריכה להתחזק בבטחון בהשי"ת, שהוא המפליא לעשות ועצם הטוב והחסד, שיברכה בהמצטרך לה ולב"ב שיחיו, ואינה צריכה כלל לחשוש וכו', אבל צריכה לבדוק המזוזות בדירתם וכן את התפילין שמניחים ואת הצריכים חילוף להחליפם בכשרים.
ידוע מרז"ל אשר ברא מזכה אבא (וגם אמא), ובמילא גם מצדו עליו להוסיף אומץ בלימוד תורת הנגלה ותורת החסידות, מתוך מסירה ונתינה וביטול רצונות עצמיים, אשר לימוד התורה שהיא חיינו ובפרט לימוד התורה בטהרה, ממשיכים עי"ז ברכה והצלחה בהמצטרך לאדם ולב"ב, ואין לך דבר העומד בפני הרצון.
בברכה לתלמוד תורה ביראת שמים.

In response to your letter requesting a blessing for your mother, may she live: When I am at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, at an auspicious time, I will mention her for what she needs.
You should write to her that she needs to strengthen her trust in Hashem, Who works wonders and is the essence of goodness and kindness, that He will bless her with all she needs for herself and her family. She need not worry at all, etc., but she should check the mezuzos in their home as well as the tefillin that are used; those that need replacement should be exchanged for kosher ones.
It is known from our Sages that a child brings merit to his father (and also his mother). Therefore, on your part you should increase your strength in studying both the revealed Torah and Chassidus, with dedication and self-nullification of personal desires. Through Torah study—which is our life—and especially Torah studied in purity, one draws down blessing and success for oneself and one's family. Nothing stands in the way of willpower.
Blessings for Torah study with awe of Heaven.
