... רואים הם במוחש, וגם בעיני בשר - הצלחה שלמעלה מדרך הטבע שיש בעניני הרשת, הן בהיחס של האנשים השונים והמוסדות שעמדו מלכתחלה בהתנגדות, כן מהאמצעים שקבלו שלא שיערו מראש... והנה ע"פ שכל הבריא, ואפילו שכל אנושי ואפילו שכל הטבעי, צריך הי' לעורר הנ"ל אצל כאו"א מחברי ההנהלה - תוספת כח בעבודה, לחזק ולפתח הרשת ולהגדילה בכמות ובאיכות...
ובאתי במכתבי זה בקריאה לבבית ונפשית, אשר בידם עתה לקדש שם ליובאוויטש, ובמילא - שם נשיאנו הק', ובמילא שמו הגדול של ממה"מ הקב"ה - ע"י רכישת כו"כ מבני ובנות ישראל קטני עמך - כלשון המדרש אסתר רבה באופן ביטול גזירת המן - לקרבם לאבינו שבשמים וכמרז"ל כל המלמד את בן חבירו תורה כאילו ילדו וכו' וכו'.
ולהנ"ל אין נצרך כלל ענינים של מס"נ ביטול במציאות ואפילו לא ביטול היש, ובלבד שיתמסרו לעבודתם כאו"א בהמקצוע שלו... שזה קשור לא רק בטובה רוחנית שלהם ושל ב"ב - שיחיו - אלא גם בענינים גשמיים, ואפילו אלו הענינים שנפש הבהמית נמשכת אחריהם, וכמו כבוד כו', ואם אין עצה אחרת, הרי אמרו רז"ל שהמאבד סלע ובא עני ומצאו ה"ז צדקה, הרי לו יהי' ע"י שתתקנא נה"ב של אחד בהנה"ב של השני ובלבד שיעשו הפעולות הצריכות להגדלת הרשת במילואן.
וכבר ידוע מענה כ"ק אדמו"ר האמצעי שענה לאחד מחסידיו: ע"פ הוראת אדמו"ר האמצעי, הנה כל אלו שחזרו מליובאוויטש, מצווים הם לחזור דא"ח בהמקומות שעברו דרך חזרתם מליובאוויטש - להפיץ תורת החסידות. ואחד מבעלי צורה התאונן לפניו שמרגיש הוא עי"ז תוספת הרגש עצמו וישותו כי רואה שמצליח בחזרת הדא"ח כו' וכו', וענהו אדמו"ר האמצעי: "מעג ווערען פון דיר א ציבעלע - אבי חסידות זאלסטו חזר'ן".
אקוה אשר יספיקו שורותי אלה, אף כי מעטים בכמות, ואולי גם באיכות - לנגד הענין המוטל בידם ושנתנו להם כל הכחות על זה...

To the administration of the Oholei Yosef Yitzchak network in Eretz HaKodesh, may they live and be well—Shalom u'Vrachah!
They see tangibly, even with physical eyes—the success that is beyond nature in the matters of the network: both in the attitude of various people and institutions who initially opposed it, as well as in the resources received that were not anticipated beforehand.
According to healthy logic—even human logic and even natural logic—this should have aroused in each member of the administration an increase in strength for their work: to strengthen, develop, and expand the network both quantitatively and qualitatively.
I am writing this letter as a heartfelt and soulful call; now it is in your hands to sanctify the name of Lubavitch—and thereby our holy Nasi—and thereby the great name of our King, King of Kings, the Holy One Blessed be He—by bringing many Jewish boys and girls from among your people (as it says in Midrash Esther Rabbah about nullifying Haman's decree) closer to our Father in Heaven. As our Sages say: "Whoever teaches another's child Torah is as if he gave birth to him," etc., etc.
For this purpose there is no need at all for matters of mesirus nefesh (self-sacrifice), nor even for self-nullification; it is enough if each person devotes himself to his work in his own area. This is connected not only with their spiritual good and that of their families but also with material matters—even those things that the animal soul desires, such as honor. And if there is no other way, our Sages said: "If someone loses a coin and a poor person finds it—that is charity." So too here—even if one person's animal soul becomes jealous of another's animal soul—as long as they do what is needed to fully expand the network.
It is already known what the Mitteler Rebbe answered one of his chassidim: According to his instruction, all those returning from Lubavitch are commanded to repeat chassidus in every place they pass on their way back—to spread Chassidus. One prominent individual complained that this made him feel more self-important because he saw he was successful at repeating chassidus. The Mitteler Rebbe answered him: "You could become an onion—as long as you repeat Chassidus."
I hope these few lines will suffice—even though they are few in quantity and perhaps also in quality compared to the matter at hand for which you have been given all necessary strengths.

Summary
The Rebbe urges leaders to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to expanding Jewish education through Oholei Yosef Yitzchak. Their efforts bring spiritual and material blessings while sanctifying Lubavitch and G‑d’s name. Even imperfect motives can lead to great achievements when focused on holy work.
