I was pleased to receive regards from you through Haraha"ch vavac"h iy"a nu"n, one who is involved with tzt"z, Reb Shlomo Zalman Hecht, and he also writes to me that around Pesach your son Yosef will turn three years old, and you ask when to do the upsherin.

Now, although according to halachah it can be done even during Chol HaMoed Pesach, considering the customs of Israel and especially in our holy land, where the upsherin is done on Lag Beomer, my opinion is that you should also do it on Lag Beomer with all the customs associated with it. Enclosed is an excerpt of an instruction from my father-in-law the Rebbe zatzal regarding this.

May Hashem grant you and your wife success to raise him to Torah, chuppah, and good deeds with proper health and ample livelihood in true happiness.
