I was alarmed to receive your letter from the 3rd of Adar II in which you write about the health situation... may she live, who has already been in the hospital for six weeks. She should be told that simple faith—which compels every Jewish man and woman—also means believing that only the Holy One, blessed be He, is the sole Master of the entire world and all within it, including even this physical world and every individual man and woman. Since Hashem is the essence of goodness, He certainly wants to grant only good and kindness to each person, and bodily health is one of the main aspects of this, as explained in Rambam Hilchos Deos at the end of chapter 3 and beginning of chapter 4. It is also known what the Baal Shem Tov taught on the verse 'Ki Tireh Chamor Sonacha Roveitz Tachas Masa'o... Azov Ta'azov Imo' ("When you see your enemy's donkey lying under its burden... you shall surely help him with it"), as explained in the maamar of Yud Shevat 5713.

When one feels (not just knows) all of this, then one's soul is filled with inner calm, which immediately brings improvement in health and a speedy recovery. May Hashem grant you success to share good news regarding all of this, and may it be as soon as possible.

Although I have written to her separately as above, since you were her messenger to inform me about this matter, you will certainly explain my response to her with additional clarification.
