Regarding what you write about not having set routines: it is known to you that Chassidus demands that the mind must rule over the heart (moach sholet al halev), and therefore, to a great extent, one can bring oneself to the point that when engaged in one matter, one does not think at all about another matter, and thus is not disturbed. This is like the story told by my father-in-law, the Rebbe—may his merit protect us—about the Rashba, which you surely know.
