הגיעני מכתבם בו כותבים שבזמן האחרון אירע להם היזקות שלא כדרך הטבע בהבנין שלהם. וכשאהי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע אזכירם להצלחה, ושיוסיף להם השי"ת ברכתו בגשמיות, והם יעשו מהגשמיות רוחניות, כפתגם רבינו הזקן ששמענו כמה פעמים מכ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, אז השי"ת גיט אידען גשמיות און זיי מאכען פון גשמיות רוחניות.
ומהנכון הי' שירבו בנתינתם לצדקה מהקופה המשותפת שלהם, כיון שכפי שכותבים הבנין זהו בשותפות, ויתנו הצדקה בעין יפה ובמדה רחבה, שעל ידי זה יגדילו צנורות הברכה והצלחה מהשי"ת.
כן נכון הי', שבאם אוכלים ושותים באיזה מהחדרים בהבנין הנ"ל, שתהיינה שם מזוזות כשרות, וכן ימצאו שם איזה מספרי קדש, וכמו סידור חומש תהלים ותניא, ובכל יום שהבנין פתוח, הרי מהאנשים הנמצאים שם, היינו בעלי בתים או פקידים, יאמרו איזה דבר שבקדושה מאחד הספרים הנ"ל או שיתפללו שם.
והשי"ת יצליחם לבשר טוב בכל הנ"ל. און וואס ברייטער זיי וועלען זיך שטעלען אלץ בעסער לויענט דאס פאר זיי.
המחאתם נמסרה לקופת חשאין, שממנה נתמכים ענינים כללים ואנשים פרטים שאין לפרסם שהם המקבלים, שזהו אחת המעלות היותר נעלות במצות הצדקה, ומצילה ביחוד בהנוגע שלא תשלוט עין כו' וידגו לרוב בקרב הארץ.

I received your letter in which you write that recently there have been unusual damages to your building.
When I am at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory, I will mention you for success, and may Hashem add His blessing to you in material matters. You should transform the material into spiritual, as the Alter Rebbe's saying that we heard many times from my father-in-law, the Rebbe: "Hashem gives Jews materiality and they make from the material spirituality."
It would be proper to increase your giving to charity from your joint fund, since as you write, the building is a partnership. Give charity generously and in ample measure; through this you will expand the channels for blessing and success from Hashem.
It is also proper that if you eat or drink in any of the rooms in the above-mentioned building, there should be kosher mezuzot there, as well as some holy books such as a Siddur, Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya. Every day that the building is open, those present—whether householders or staff—should say something holy from one of these books or pray there.
May Hashem grant you success to share good news regarding all of the above. The broader your approach is in these matters, the better it will be for you.
Your donation was given over to the Kuppat Chashain fund, which supports general causes and private individuals whose identities are not publicized. This is one of the highest virtues in giving charity and especially protects against negative influences. "And may they multiply greatly within the land."
