נתקבל מכתבו מכ"ז למסב"י[2], ומ"ש שם אודות קניית ס"ת, ומצרף לזה העתק מכתב כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע בענין זה.
הנה בהעתק זה גופא ימצא המענה על שאלתו, ובלשון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר, הרצון והיכולת הכספי שתי מדות הנה במדות בני אדם. איני יודע אופן העזרה לזה שכותב אודותו במכתבו שזקוק לה, ואם שלוח סקריפ מזמן לזמן יוכל לעזור להנ"ל, אשתדל בל"נ לסדר הדבר, ומטובו להודיעני אודות זה.
בשאלתו בענין הדפסת ספר התניא, הנה מדפיסים אותו פה עתה, בתוספת לוח התיקון, מפתח ענינים וכו', ונמצא אני באמצע ההכנה להוצאה חדשה של התניא בצירוף מראה מקומות, פירוש קצר כו' אלא שאין הזמן מרשה לברך על המוגמר, ולכן מתארך הדבר.
כבקשתו אזכירהו בעת רצון כשאהי' על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע להמצטרך לו ולכל ב"ב שיחיו.

Your letter from the 27th to L'mispar Bnei Yisrael was received, and regarding what you wrote about purchasing a Sefer Torah, I am attaching here a copy of a letter from my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, on this matter.
In this very copy you will find the answer to your question, and in the words of my father-in-law, the Rebbe: 'Desire and financial ability are two traits among human traits.'
I do not know how to help with what you wrote about in your letter that is needed. If sending a script from time to time can help in this matter, I will try, G‑d willing, to arrange it. Please let me know about this.
Regarding your question about printing the Tanya: it is currently being printed here with an added correction chart, index of topics, etc., and I am in the midst of preparing a new edition of Tanya with references and a brief commentary. However, time does not permit me to complete it yet; therefore, it is taking longer.
As you requested, I will mention you at an auspicious time when I am at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal, for what you need and for all your family.
