I hereby acknowledge receipt of your pidyon nefesh from the 10th of Shevat, which I will read, G‑d willing, at an auspicious time at the resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, of blessed memory.

On this occasion, I would like to point out several details in the Adar bulletin that I have just received. Since I hope you can correct them, here they are: a) There is no mention at all regarding Machatzit HaShekel on either page one or two; this is especially relevant this year when it falls on Motzaei Shabbat. b) Regarding mishloach manot, it should be added that it must specifically be with food items. c) At the end of page two after the word "nachas," it is good to add and emphasize "Jewish nachas." d) On page three regarding mourners, it is proper to add the customary phrase used among Israel: "HaMakom yenachem otam betoch avelei Tzion v'Yerushalayim" (May the Omnipresent comfort them among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem). Besides its inherent importance—since you are addressing mourners—you should use every opportunity to publicize Jewish laws and customs. e) On page four as well as at the end of page three—and in general wherever names of several people are listed—one way to avoid claims and complaints about who is mentioned first is to arrange the names alphabetically...

By the way, I saw on page three that you list events from Jewish history that occurred during this month; for this purpose, the book "Davar Yom B'Yomo," which has been reprinted in recent years, may be helpful.

I await good news regarding all of the above.
