במענה על מכתבו בלי הוראת הזמן בו כותב כי זוגתו תחי' אמר לה הרופא שצריכה להיות איזה ימים בשפיטאל כדי לעשות חקירה ודרישה, וזוג' תחי' יראה וחרדה משפיטאל מפני חששות שונות (שאין להם יסוד),
הנה עליו להסביר לה באותיות המתאימות לפי מצב רוחה עתה אשר -
דער אויבערשטער האט באשאפן די וועלט און ער פירט די וועלט, סיי אין חצי הכדור התחתון וואו מיר געפינען זיך, סיי אין חצי הכדור העליון וואו... און איר געפינט זיך. והוא אמר ויהי, הוא ציוה ויעמוד, אז אלץ וואס עס טוט זיך אין דער וועלט טוט זיך ניט אן דעם אויבערשטן, און אלץ וואס דער אויבערשטער וויל טוט זיך. נאר דער אויבערשטער וויל, אז מ'זאל מאכן א כלי אין טבע, דאס הייסט, אז ענינים זאלן זיך אפטאן בדרך הטבע.
בשעת א איד, מאן אדער פרוי, פילט זיך עפעס ניט גוט און מ'דארף רופן א דאקטאר, איז דאס ניט דער פשט, אז דער דאקטאר וועט טאן ווי עס וועט זיך עם פארוועלן, נאר דער אינהאלט דערפון איז, אז השי"ת האט אויסגעקליבן דעם דאקטאר פאר זיין שליח אויסצופירן דורך עם די שליחות.
און אז מ'האט בטחון אין דעם אויבערשטן, אן ספיקות, אז ער פירט די וועלט, איז מען דאן זוכה אז מ'זעט דאס אויך מיט די פליישיקע אויגן, אויף יעדן טריט און שריט: ווי אזוי דער אויבערשטער האלט אונז יעדן איינעם פארן האנד און פירט אונז ווי עס איז פאר אונז בעסער, סיי אין גשמיות און סיי אין רוחניות.
במילא, אויב זי וועט גיין אין האספיטאל לויט די הוראות פון דאקטאר, בלייבט זי נאך אלץ אונטער דעם אויבערשטנס רשות. און דער אויבערשטער וועט זי היטן און זען, אז עס זאל גיין ווי עס איז בעסער פאר איר הן פאר בריאת הגוף און הן פאר בריאת הנפש.
זי דארף נאר זיין שטארק אין דער אמונה און בטחון, אז עס וועט זיכער מקויים ווערן דאס וואס דער רבי, הוא כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר הכ"מ האט איר געבענטשט, בענטשט איצטער און וועט אויך ווייטער בענטשן זי זאל האבן א רפואה, און איר און זי זאלט קאנען אין גיכן אנזאגן בשורות טובות, אז זי פילט זיך געזונט.
מסתמא לעגט זי אריין לצדקה אין דער פושקע פון רבינו מאיר בעל הנס ערב שבת ויום-טוב פאר ליכט בענטשן, און איר זאגט געוויס דעם רבי'נס קאפיטל תהלים שהוא עתה קאפיטל ע"א לכל הפחות ביז יו"ד שבט ה'תשי"א. כמובן כל זה בלי נדר.

In response to your letter without a date in which you write that your wife, may she live, was told by the doctor that she needs to spend some days in the hospital for examination and investigation, and your wife is fearful and anxious about the hospital due to various concerns (which have no basis), you should explain to her in words appropriate to her current emotional state that—the Eibershter created the world and runs the world, both in the southern hemisphere where we are located and in the northern hemisphere where... she is located. "He said and it came to be; He commanded and it stood." Everything that happens in this world does not happen without the Eibershter, and everything that the Eibershter wants happens. The Eibershter wants us to make a vessel within nature—that is, for things to occur through natural means. When a Jew—man or woman—does not feel well and needs to call a doctor, it does not mean that the doctor will do as he pleases; rather, its essence is that Hashem has chosen this doctor as His agent to carry out His mission through him. And when one has trust in the Eibershter without doubts—that He runs the world—then one merits seeing this with one's own physical eyes at every step: how the Eibershter holds each of us by the hand and leads us as is best for us both materially and spiritually.
Therefore, if she goes into the hospital according to the doctor's instructions, she still remains under the authority of the Eibershter. And the Eibershter will guard her and see to it that things go as is best for her both for bodily health and spiritual health. She only needs to be strong in faith and trust that what the Rebbe—meaning my revered father-in-law, the previous Rebbe of blessed memory—has blessed her with, blesses her now, and will continue to bless her: that she should have a recovery; and you and she should soon be able to report good news—that she feels healthy.
Presumably she gives charity into Rabbi Meir Baal HaNes's pushka on Friday afternoon before candle lighting on Shabbos and Yom Tov; and surely she says the Rebbe's chapter of Tehillim—which now is chapter 71—at least until Yud Shevat 5711. Of course all this is without making a vow.

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that even when facing medical procedures or hospitalization, one should trust fully in G‑d's providence while following doctors' advice as part of natural effort. Faith transforms anxiety into confidence that all outcomes are guided by Divine care.
