Advice for Overcoming Worries and Establishing Daily Structure

[ה'תשל"ג]
The Rebbe advises not to focus on worries, but rather to ignore them as much as possible. He recommends establishing a precise daily routine, securing steady employment, setting fixed Torah study times with a partner, giving daily charity, living in a religious community, and checking tefillin and mezuzot.

Shalom u'Vrachah!

Regarding the worries you write about – divert your attention from all this as much as possible; that is, do not fight them, but simply do not pay attention to them – as much as possible. However, arrange your life day by day according to a precise schedule.

Seek a steady and organized job (employment), and in your free time (at least part of it), set fixed times for Torah study with a study partner. Give charity every weekday morning (a few coins). Settle your residence in a religious community [ideally – in a religious kibbutz if possible]. Have your tefillin and mezuzot checked.

I will mention this at the Tziyun.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that overcoming worries is best achieved by redirecting focus toward positive routines: structured daily living, consistent Torah study, acts of charity, and ensuring one's environment and mitzvah observance are strong foundations for emotional well-being.
