בנועם קבלתי הידיעה על דבר חגיגת חנוכת הבנין - בקשר עם יום חג הגאולה י"ט כסלו הבע"ל.
ומגלגלין
זכות ליום זכאי, גאולת רבנו הזקן מייסד תורת חב"ד. וידוע מש"כ בעל הגאולה בביאור ענינו של בית וחנוכת הבית - על הכתוב מזמור שיר חנוכת הבית
והנה בית ענינו כלפי חוץ - שהוא
מגן
ומחסה מחורב וממטר, חום וקור וכו',
ותוכנו "בפנים" - חיי מנוחה ודירת קבע,
אשר לכן בנין (וקנין) בית דורש עמל האדם
ובעיקר ברכה רבה מלמעלה, ובל' הכתוב: הוי' יבנה בית.
ולכן גם עושים משתה ושמחה בחנוכת הבית.
ויהי רצון שיהי' כן בבית הזה, אשר באופן של מנוחה - תהי' דירת קבע לכל עניני חב"ד ופעולות חב"ד,
שהם מיוסדים על
האהבה המשולשת
, אהבת ה', אהבת התורה ואהבת ישראל, ולהפצת כל עניני התורה (הנגלה והפנימית) ומצותי', ובפרט בין הנוער והצעירים, בני ישראל ובנות ישראל.
ויהי' הבית הזה מגן ומחסה מהשפעות בלתי רצויות מבחוץ, הן אלו שבבחי' חורב ואש זרה והן אלו שבבחי' מטר ומים זידונים, חום וקור,
ותומשך ברכת הוי' האמורה בכל הבית ופעולות שלו בהווה ובעתיד.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
It was with pleasure that I received the news about the celebration of the building's dedication—connected with the festival of redemption on Yud Kislev, as our sages say: merit is brought about on a meritorious day—the redemption of our master the Alter Rebbe, founder of Chabad teachings.
It is well known what the Baal HaGeulah (the one redeemed) explained regarding the concept of a house and its dedication, on the verse Mizmor Shir Chanukas HaBayis ("A psalm, a song for the dedication of the house"). The function of a house outwardly is to serve as protection and shelter from destruction and rain, heat and cold, etc., while its inner content is tranquility and permanent dwelling. Therefore, building (and acquiring) a house requires human effort but primarily abundant blessing from Above—as it says: Hashem will build a house. That is why we also make a feast and rejoice at a house dedication.
May it be G‑d's will that it should be so in this house—that in an atmosphere of tranquility it should serve as a permanent dwelling for all matters and activities of Chabad, which are founded on triple love: love of Hashem, love of Torah, and love of Israel; spreading all aspects of Torah (both revealed and inner dimensions) and its mitzvos—especially among youth and young men and women of Israel.
May this house be a shield and shelter from undesirable outside influences—whether those resembling destruction or foreign fire or those like rain or malicious waters, heat or cold—and may Hashem's blessing rest upon this entire house and its activities now and in the future.
Until this house and all its matters become an example for many; may Hashem grant you success to accomplish all these things with joy and tranquility—in accordance with the verse: "He redeemed my soul in peace; many are with me."
Blessings for success in all mentioned above—and with blessings for Chag HaGeulah.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that every Jewish center should serve as both physical protection and spiritual inspiration. By dedicating Beis Lubavitch to Torah values—especially love for Hashem, Torah, and fellow Jews—it becomes a beacon shielding against negative influences while spreading light to many.
