B"H, 3rd of Tammuz, 5732.

Blessings for good news, with peace of mind and gladness of heart.

[Free translation] In response to your letter: May Hashem grant that your health improves in the near future. It seems you are following the doctors’ instructions fully. I hope your mood will also improve and this will be evident in your next letter. This too has a positive effect on health and successful healing.

It is understood that your mood is partly affected by the difficulty of adjusting to a new country and new circumstances—a challenge faced by every immigrant. However, these difficulties automatically decrease each day, especially when the immigrant desires to overcome them.

For a Jew who has strived and labored and ultimately succeeded—with Hashem’s help—in coming to Eretz Yisrael, the Holy Land, this desire to acclimate quickly should be especially strong.

Every person experiences changes in mood and desires, but ultimately the main inner desire rises above and remains—in your case, the desire to move to Eretz Yisrael, as shown by your actions: submitting an application and so forth for an immigration permit.

I hope that by the time you receive this letter there will be a positive change for you, and I thank you in advance for sharing good news regarding all of the above.

Summary
