Shalom u'Vrachah!

When a person from the children of Israel lives not according to the command of the Creator for the children of Israel, it is understood that he does not feel well (even if he does not know and is mistaken about the real reason). Therefore, first and foremost—this must be corrected. And it is assured as stated—'Yagata u'Matzata' ('If you toil, you will find').

And similarly, there is a need to precede 'Naaseh' (action in practice) to 'Nishma' (understanding through investigation, etc.), especially since when a person is hungry (for physical or spiritual nourishment), he is unable to delve deeply and weigh intellectual matters and so on—as opposed to after he has satisfied his hunger.

Therefore, postpone seeking intellectual solutions to questions in Judaism, etc.—until you are established in practical observance.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that practical observance should come before seeking intellectual answers. When one's actions align with G‑d's will, clarity and understanding follow more naturally.
