I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letters and sincerely thank you for your wishes and the heartfelt words regarding the activities of Chabad members.
As we approach the Festival of Matzot, the season of our freedom, which is coming upon us and all Israel for good, my blessing is extended to you and all yours for a kosher and joyous Pesach and for true freedom—freedom from all material and spiritual worries—and that from now on only goodness and kindness in revealed and visible good will be your lot.
True freedom is as our Sages of blessed memory say about the verse "Charut al haLuchot" (engraved on the tablets)—do not read it as "charut" (engraved) but as "cherut" (freedom), which also includes freedom from all matters that cause division of hearts among Israel—a single nation in the land.
