Shalom u'Vrachah!
In response to your esteemed letter—regarding the yeshivah of Daas (halachic study)—and your journey with your household, may it be G‑d's will that the verse 'Give thanks to Hashem...' be fulfilled in this matter. For us, who recite blessings even on air travel over the sea—here all four matters were present.
As we approach the new year, which is coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, I hereby express my blessing to you and all yours: a blessing for being inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year, both materially and spiritually.
With honor and blessing.
I have received your letter—but the merit of the many is great, and many stood together. Regarding this event (and concerning its practical lesson): it is explained (Bereishis Rabbah 34:8) that there are events after which one sees a new world. And since it includes (ibid.) Noach with the rest up to Iyov—it is reasonable to say that this is not only for tzaddikim but that even Noach himself became renewed for the better (up to Iyov), and Iyov saw the world—a new world (up to Noach). And although such a great event as this is rare—therefore they said there are only five such cases (and thus regarding Iyov he does not bring explicit verses from the beginning of the book like 'he poured out on earth...', since only that was an act of miracles [Chullin 43a and Tosafos there])—still in many matters we find something similar in their effect.
And since in our case there was participation of many—this seemingly supports the idea that the renewal will pertain also to what is said to many etc.—as we discussed at our last meeting. Note also that every day causes renewal for the entire world (great and small), as explained wondrously in Iggeres HaKodesh by Admor HaZaken section 21.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that significant events can renew one's perspective as if seeing a new world, especially when experienced collectively. He blesses us to carry this sense of renewal into the new year, both physically and spiritually.
