ואתחיל באיחולים לבביים לך ולכל שאר התושבים שליט"א, תושבי המקום מושב אביבים בארצנו הקדושה תבנה ותכונן במהרה בימינו על ידי משיח צדקנו.

המבהיל שקרה לא עתה ולא עלינו (וה' יקום דמי הנרצחים וכו'

נשמתם צרורה בצרור החיים),
יקויים בכל אחד ואחת, ובפרט ההורים, בתוככי כל התושבים,

קדושי עליון צדיקי עם בני ישראל בדורות שלפנינו, אשר התפללו לשלום כל אחד ואחת מישראל בכל מקום שהם, וזכותם מגינה גם עתה, ובפרט זכות פעולותיהם באהבת ה', אהבת התורה ואהבת ישראל,
אשר מי שמדת הדין פגעה בו רחמנא ליצלן, הנה לאחרי זה מתעוררת מדת הרחמים, רחמיו של הקדוש ברוך הוא, שהיא בלי גבול,
ובלשון הכתוב
נחלה בלי מצרים מבריח מן הקצה אל הקצה, להשפיע להם ברכה ישועה והצלחה בהמצטרך להם ולבני ביתם שיחיו,
וביחוד בנוגע לתושבי ארצנו הקדושה, אשר זכות ארץ הקודש מגינה ומצילה.
במטותא למסור איחולי וברכתי לכל תושבי אביבים שיחיו, ויהי רצון שכל אחד ואחת יבשרו אך טוב.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I received your letter from Isru Chag Shavuot, the time of the giving of our Torah. I will begin with heartfelt wishes to you and all the other residents sheyichyu, the inhabitants of Moshav Avivim in our holy land—may it be rebuilt and established speedily in our days through Moshiach Tzidkeinu.
And after the shocking event that occurred—not now and not upon us (and may Hashem avenge the blood of those murdered etc., and may their souls be bound in the bond of life)—may it be fulfilled for each and every one, especially the parents among all the residents, what was said by holy tzaddikim of previous generations who prayed for the peace of every Jew wherever they are; their merit protects even now—especially their merit in acts of love for Hashem, love for Torah, and love for Israel—that when someone is struck by the attribute of judgment (G‑d forbid), afterwards is aroused the attribute of mercy—Hashem's mercy—which is without limit. In the words of Scripture: nachalah bli metzarim mivriach min haketzeh el haketzeh (an inheritance without boundaries stretching from end to end), to bestow upon them blessing, salvation, and success in all they need for themselves and their families sheyichyu—especially regarding those living in our holy land whose merit protects and saves.
Please convey my wishes and blessings to all residents of Avivim sheyichyu. May it be G‑d's will that each one will report only good news.

P.S. At an auspicious time I will mention you and your wife tichyeh in prayer according to your letter's content. It is proper that all doors in your home have checked mezuzot and that you are meticulous with tefillin which should also be checked. There is a special segulah in being precise with these mitzvot as explained in our holy Torah.
