אביע השתתפותי הנפשית בשמחתך לרגל הגיעך לעונת בר מצוה,
ויהי רצון שתקבל עליך עול תורתנו תורת חיים ומצוותי' בשמחה ותקיימם מתוך בריאות ומנוחה,
כי יתן ה' שלום בארץ

וגדול זכות התורה והמצוות להגן על הארץ ועמנו בכל מקום שהם ולהפיל אימתה ופחד על כל אויב

Shalom u'Vrachah!
To the administration of Tzeirei Agudas Chabad in our holy land—may Hashem be upon them for life—Shalom u'Vrachah!
I hereby copy the text of the telegram that our master, teacher, and Rebbe shlita graciously agreed should be sent today in connection with the Bar Mitzvah celebration:
To each and every Bar Mitzvah boy who is an orphan of the wars and acts of terror in our holy land—shlita. Shalom and many blessings!
On this bright day—the birthday and redemption of our master, teacher, and Rebbe who gave his life for Torah and its mitzvos and for the material and spiritual well-being of the Jewish people—I express my heartfelt participation in your joy upon reaching Bar Mitzvah age. May it be G‑d's will that you accept upon yourself the yoke of our Torah, a Torah of life, and its mitzvos with joy, fulfilling them with health and tranquility. May Hashem grant peace in the land. The great merit of Torah and mitzvos protects our land and people wherever they are, casting awe and fear on every enemy or oppressor. There is a special power in the mitzvah of tefillin—as our Sages teach: 'All the nations of the earth shall see that the name of Hashem is called upon you, and they shall fear you,' which brings victory to those at war.
Through all this you will bring nachas ruach (pleasure) to your father—may Hashem avenge his blood—who from his place in the World of Truth watches over what happens to his children, takes great pleasure in their good conduct, and rejoices greatly seeing them go from strength to strength in our true Torah and its mitzvos.
Through all this we also draw closer to fulfilling the promise: 'And G‑d will save Zion and build the cities of Judah; they shall dwell there and possess it. The seed of His servants shall inherit it; those who love His name shall dwell therein.'

Summary
The Rebbe teaches that embracing Torah, mitzvos—especially tefillin—and living with joy brings protection to Am Yisrael. Even those who have lost parents are watched over from above as they grow spiritually, bringing comfort to their families and hastening redemption.
