והרי סגולה מיוחדת לחודש אדר שבו מעברים השנה, שאז המרבין בשמחה הוא בכפליים.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter, even though it arrived after some time, along with the note that was read at the resting place of my revered father-in-law the Rebbe. Thanks for what you sent from here in general, and especially for points from our conversation.
May it be G‑d's will that you share good news also regarding the positive outcomes from what was discussed. In the words of our Sages: true good is both good for Heaven and good for people together. For in the matters we spoke about there is a blend of both between man and G‑d and between man and his fellow.
May Hashem grant that each of us acts in all this in a way that continually increases. There is a special quality to the month of Adar—when we add an extra month to the year—that increasing in joy is doubled.
May it be fulfilled: "LaYehudim Hayta Orah v'Simcha v'Sasson v'Yikar" (For the Jews there was light and gladness and joy and honor), as our Sages interpret: "Orah" means Torah etc., "Yikar" means tefillin; but according to the rule that a verse never loses its simple meaning—there should be light, gladness, joy, and honor literally. Especially this period and these days are particularly in need of all this.
With respect and with regards also to your brother—may he live—and with blessings for happy Purim days and for good tidings in all mentioned above.
P.S. Regarding what you wrote about what was given to you by our friend Rabbi Ephraim Wolf—this does not pertain to Melach but rather is a special matter from a unique fund on a one-time basis. And regarding your writing about sending a Ma'amad etc., as we already discussed some time ago—it is not possible for several reasons, beginning with the old reason from our Sages not to embarrass etc., among others. Please accept my apologies.
