אהבות – אהבת ה', אהבת התורה ואהבת ישראל – חד הוא. שהרי אם אוהבים יהודי צריך להשתדל שיהיה אוהב תורה ואוהב ה', ואם אוהבים אותו בפועל צריך להשתדל שיהיה אוהב ה' ואוהב התורה בפועל, עד שהנהגתו היומיומית בפועל תהי' בהתאם לזה. והקישור בין אהבת ה' ואהבת ישראל מבואר בפרק לב בתניא,
וכמדובר
כמה פעמים שהסדר בתניא ג"כ חשוב, והרמז שהעניין מובא בפרק "לב" הוא רב משמעות.

Chaim Yehuda shiyichyeh, Shalom u'Vrachah! In due time Rabbi Chadakov shiyichyeh passed on to me regarding the connection of the letters and what you sent, as well as your request for a blessing. I mentioned you at the Tziyun as well as your wife tichyeh. It is surprising that I have not heard from you, even though I inquired about you through our friend shiyichyeh.
As we come from Yud Tes Kislev and approach the upcoming days of Chanukah, I wish you that everything should be in accordance with the lesson of Chanukah—always increasing and adding in light—as is the will of Admor HaZaken: to show and bring into action that the three loves—Ahavas Hashem (love of G‑d), Ahavas HaTorah (love of Torah), and Ahavas Yisrael (love of a fellow Jew)—are one. For if one loves a Jew, one must strive that he also loves Torah and loves G‑d; and if one truly loves him in practice, one must strive that he actually loves G‑d and Torah in practice until his daily conduct reflects this.
The connection between love of G‑d and love of Israel is explained in chapter 32 of Tanya. As has been discussed many times, the order in Tanya is very important; the hint that this topic appears in chapter 32 is highly significant.
I am enclosing a copy of Likkutei Sichos as printed here from time to time; this too relates to what we have discussed.
May your strength be straightened for not paying heed to those who tried to influence you otherwise—and for printing and publicizing this perspective. It is very unfortunate that those who accept this outlook—whose numbers are steadily increasing—were not convinced by logic alone but rather by seeing daily events among those wounded etc., etc. It is difficult to elaborate on such distressing matters—even on just one case (in the language of our Sages z"l, Menachos 18a, Tosafos s.v. ad).
Blessings for illuminating Chanukah days and for good tidings.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that Hanukkah inspires us to increase light in all areas—especially by uniting love for G‑d, Torah, and fellow Jews—and encourages spreading chassidic teachings with perseverance even when faced with opposition or challenges.
