(של ו' תשרי) וקויתי שתהי' הזדמנות לפגישה ושיחה פא"פ, בפרט ששמעתי שעשה איזה זמן בארה"ב. אבל כיון שלא היתה הזדמנות לדבר פא"פ, הרי ימים אלו ימי כושר הם גם לדברים שבכתב, ברוח ההתועדות שנתקיימה בימי הכתיבה וחתימה טובה, ובעיקר להביע איחולַי שמנצל כל האפשריות שלו באותם הכיוונים שדברנו כאשר נפגשנו, ונשאר אצלי הרושם ששנינו באנו לאותה מסקנה, אף על פי שלא הוברר לגמרי באיזה אופן יוציאה בפועל. אבל כיון

ומובן שיהי' לי נחת רוח לשמוע ממנו, ובעיקר בשורה טובה ומעודדת שהענינים נעשים בפועל.

Shalom u'Vrachah!
I was happy to see you at the farbrengen (of the 6th of Tishrei) and hoped there would be an opportunity for a meeting and face-to-face conversation, especially since I heard you have been in the United States for some time. But since there was no chance to speak face-to-face, these days are also fitting for things in writing, in the spirit of the farbrengen that took place during the days of 'writing and sealing for good.' Mainly, I want to express my wishes that you utilize all your opportunities in the directions we discussed when we met. I was left with the impression that we both reached the same conclusion, even though it was not entirely clear how to implement it practically.
But since our Sages said, 'Action is what counts,' I hope you have searched for all possible ways—not just in thought but also in deed—for there is no one as wise as someone with experience. In the end, one finds the most effective path that brings about the greatest results. Naturally, it would give me satisfaction to hear from you—especially good and encouraging news that things are being accomplished in practice.
May it be G‑d's will that all matters—both communal and personal—progress in a manner of ever-increasing growth and light, as is taught by these days of Chanukah and these candles that we light with increasing number each day.

P.S. Although this comes as a postscript, it is only so regarding its place in the letter but not its importance. My aforementioned hope also includes your continued activities with 'Talmud LaAm,' even though I have not seen new booklets recently.
