בנועם קבלתי מכתבו מכ"ו בתשרי מבשר טוב, כמנהגו הטוב להודיע בשורות משמחות המביאות עידוד וקורת רוח, ותשואות חן חן לו עבור שימת לבו בזה, ובקשה גם להבא לעשות כן, ואך טוב יבשר תמיד כל הימים.
ובהמשך להפ"ש על ידי המזכירה שלו כמו שכותב, עוד הפעם אאחל למר שנת שמחה ובריאות נכונה והצלחה מרובה בעסקנות ציבורית שלו, וכשם שזכה לראות פרי טוב בעמלו כן וביתר שאת ינצל כשרונותיו שחונן בהם לזכות את הרבים, וזכות הרבים מסייעתו.
כיון שבאים אנו מחודש תשרי,

השביעי המושבע וממולא כל טוב, וסיומו זמן שמחתנו בכלל ושמחת התורה בפרט, יהי רצון שתומשך השמחה בכל ימות השנה, שמחה של תורה ומצוות ומעשים טובים, המביאה שמחה בכל הענינים, הכלליים והפרטיים, בגשם וברוח גם יחד.

With pleasure I received your letter from the 6th of Tishrei bearing good news, as is your good custom to share joyful tidings that bring encouragement and satisfaction. Many thanks to you for your attention in this matter, and I request that you continue to do so in the future—may you always share only good news all your days.
In continuation to what was conveyed through your secretary as you wrote, once again I wish you a year of joy, proper health, and much success in your public endeavors. Just as you have merited to see good fruits from your efforts until now, so too—and even more so—may you utilize the talents with which you have been endowed to benefit the many; the merit of the community will assist you.
Since we are coming from the month of Tishrei—the seventh month that is full and overflowing with all good—and its conclusion is generally a time of our rejoicing and especially Simchat Torah, may it be G‑d's will that this joy extend throughout all days of the year: a joy in Torah, mitzvos, and good deeds that brings happiness into all matters—both communal and personal—in both material and spiritual aspects together.
