Guidance on Disputes Between Two People and Seeking Direct Resolution

The Rebbe writes that it is inappropriate to issue instructions from afar in a dispute between two people, especially after hearing only one side. He advises the writer to approach the other party directly or involve mutual friends for resolution.

Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from Monday, it is understood that there is no place for issuing instructions from overseas in a dispute between two people (especially after hearing only one side). One should turn directly to the person being written about, or (in the language of our Sages) increase mutual friends, etc.

With blessing.

Because of the sanctity of the festival, the Admor Shlita did not sign personally, and I am signing in his name.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that disputes should be resolved directly between the parties involved or with the help of mutual friends, rather than seeking intervention from afar or after hearing only one side.
