העיקר
הוא שיביא תועלת, וכן בנידון דידן תקותי שהדברים יביאו תועלת בקירוב כלל ישראל ופרטיו לאבינו שבשמים, וכמדובר המכוון הוא במעשים בפועל בחיי היום יום, שמעשה הוא העיקר, ובודאי אין צורך לבאר גודל הענין של מזכה הרבים שיש לו בזה.

ובפרט שנמצאים אנו בימים המיוחדים והמצויינים של חודש השביעי, הכולל עשרת ימי תשובה (קו המרירות) וזמן שמחתנו (קו השמחה), הרי זה כולל מצב רוח האדם על שינוייו מן הקצה אל הקצה, וביחד עם זה הרי כל החודש נמצא תחת רושם התחלתו, יום שבני ישראל ממליכים את הקב"ה על עצמם ועם ישראל וכל העולם כולו,

והבקשה: מלוך על העולם כולו (עד אשר) יאמר כל אשר נשמה באפו ה' אלקי ישראל מלך ומלכותו בכל משלה.

Your article was brought to my attention, in which you share excerpts from our conversation. Even though you surely know that it is not my practice to be interviewed by journalists, our approach—as I have also heard from my revered father-in-law the Admor—is that since this matter is already done, the main thing is that it brings benefit. So too in this case: I hope these words will bring benefit in drawing all Jews—both collectively and individually—closer to our Father in Heaven. As discussed, the intention is for practical deeds in daily life, for action is paramount. Surely there is no need to elaborate on the great merit of one who brings merit to the many through this.
On this pleasant occasion I express my pleasant surprise at seeing you at the farbrengen marking the yahrzeit of the righteous Rebbetzin, may her memory be a blessing. Since my intention was that what was said then should come from the heart, my prayer and hope is that the well-known saying will be fulfilled here: "Words that come from the heart enter the heart and have their effect."
Especially as we are now in these special and distinguished days of the seventh month—which includes both the Ten Days of Teshuvah (the line of bitterness) and Zman Simchateinu (the line of joy)—this encompasses a person's entire emotional spectrum from one extreme to another. Yet throughout, the whole month remains under the impression of its beginning: when Bnei Yisrael crown Hashem as King over themselves, over Israel, and over all creation; as expressed in our prayers: "Reign over the entire world (until) every soul declares: Hashem G‑d of Israel is King and His sovereignty rules everywhere."
With honor and wishes for a joyous festival.
