Shalom u'Vrachah!

Your letter has been received... And as we stand before the auspicious days of 12–13 Tammuz approaching, may it be G‑d's will that the merit of the Baal HaGeulah and Simchah — that is, my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, leader of our generation — stand for each and every one among all our people, may they live and be well, to draw down G‑d's blessings in all necessary matters in a good and revealed way. This includes, of course, great success in spreading Judaism and Torah and mitzvos in general, and especially through the institutions of my revered father-in-law in particular, with tranquility and peace of mind. Especially since this year marks forty years since his redemption — at which point a person attains his teacher's understanding: 'the end of his knowledge and understanding and wisdom from his teaching' (Rashi Avodah Zarah 5b; Devarim 29:6). See also the discourse "Bati LeGani" (Sefer HaMaamarim 5710 p.151), from which it is proven that throughout all forty years 'he is considered close to him.' See there.

Certainly you will study during these days — before, during, and after — the discourses from Tammuz 5687 (1927), the year of redemption.
