Shalom u'Vrachah!

In response to your letter from Thursday and its enclosure. At an auspicious time I will mention you at the holy resting place of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzal (may the memory of the righteous be a blessing for the life of the world to come), for the fulfillment of your heart's desires for good in all matters you wrote about.

Regarding health matters: a person must do what is required of him in the natural way—especially since the Torah says "u'Rafa Yerapeh" (and he shall surely heal), granting permission to a doctor to heal; therefore, follow the instructions of an expert doctor.

Most importantly, reflect on the concept of Divine Providence—especially as explained by our teacher the Baal Shem Tov (as will be explained by Chassidim of Anash in our camp and its surroundings)—from which one immediately comes to the conclusion, in the style of Ne'im Z'miros Yisrael: "Hashem Ro'i Lo Echsar" (the L‑rd is my shepherd; I shall not lack), "Hashem Li Lo Ira" (the L‑rd is with me; I shall not fear).

It is also proper to have your tefillin checked—if they have not been checked in the past twelve months—and to maintain the three well-known daily study sessions: Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya.

Blessings for good news in all mentioned above.

In the name of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe shlita: The pidyon nefesh you sent has just been received and will be read at the holy resting place.

Summary

The Rebbe teaches that one should combine trust in Divine Providence with practical action—following medical advice and maintaining spiritual practices like checking tefillin and daily study. Both natural effort and faith are essential for well-being and blessing.
