I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter with good news regarding this joy—Yom Tov made for Rabbanan, participants in communal Torah study, those who learn this light—Torah Shebe'al Peh, for completing the study of Tractate Sukkah (and as noted in Asheri's gloss at the end of this tractate). May it be G‑d's will that it be in a good and successful time. Just as you completed this tractate, so may you begin other tractates and complete them as well. In the language used at the conclusion of Tractate Sukkah: (A) good day for the righteous—the one who makes his Torah study fixed and his work temporary; as is known from the hint: "And he built himself a house (and in Targum Onkelos—a house of study), and for his livestock he made sukkot." Afterwards: (A) good day for his neighbor—Tractate Yom Tov, etc., until we merit fulfillment of the promise that "the Holy One, blessed be He, will make a sukkah for the righteous," etc. And relevant to these days—the day after Purim...
