Shalom u'Vrachah! [11 Elul 5724]
It is unfortunate that efforts were not made so that at least there would be a minyan—as expressed so wonderfully by the Alter Rebbe in Igeres HaKodesh—regarding this matter.
This is an answer to Moreinu HaRav Shneor Zalman HaLevi Duchman, regarding his letter dated 11 Elul 5724. Additional letters to him can be found above, volume 22, letter 859, and referenced in the notes there. See also letter 882 below.
It is regrettable: In your letter you write that although the study every Sunday has not ceased G‑d forbid, the number of participants has decreased. Therefore, I am sending the list for four weeks and hope to Hashem that when people return from their summer retreats, participation in this matter will increase with G‑d's help.
