ובעמדנו בימי י"ב-י"ג תמוז, גאולת כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר נשיא ישראל, שהיא גם גאולתנו.
שבודאי ידוע לו אודות העבודה במסירת נפש של בעל השמחה והגאולה, עבודה קדושה בהפצת התורה הנגלה והחסידות, ובאופן דמוסיף והולך.
התקוה אשר ילמוד מפרשת ימים אלו לקח המתאים והמעשה עיקר - להוסיף בהתמדה ושקידה בלימוד התורה, לימוד הנגלה ולימוד החסידות, ומובן שצריך להיות - כהוראת חז"ל - באופן שהלימוד יביא לידי מעשה, הידור בקיום המצות.
בטח יודע משלשת השיעורים השוים לכל נפש בחומש תהלים ותניא ושומר עליהם, ועכ"פ יעשה כן מכאן ולהבא.

I hereby acknowledge receipt of your letter from the 27th of Sivan. As we stand in the days of Yud-Beis–Yud-Gimmel Tammuz, the redemption of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe, leader of Israel—which is also our redemption—it is surely known to you about the self-sacrifice work of the one whose celebration and redemption we mark: his holy work in spreading both revealed Torah and Chassidus, always increasing further.
The hope is that you will learn an appropriate lesson from these days—and most importantly, put it into action: to increase diligence and perseverance in Torah study—both revealed Torah and Chassidus. Of course, as our Sages instruct us, this study must lead to action and enhanced fulfillment of mitzvos.
Surely you know about the three daily study portions that are equal for every soul—in Chumash, Tehillim, and Tanya—and you observe them; at least from now on you should do so.

Regarding the book you asked about—its author himself testifies (and this is indeed true) that it stands opposed to our Rebbeim—both in revealed Torah and in the inner dimension of Torah.
