עס האט מיר געפרייט צו באקומען די ידיעה וועגן דער פארשטייענדער פייערונג, ביום א', ט"ו כסלו, הבע"ל. דער אויבערשטער זאל העלפן, אז עס זאל זיין בשעה טובה ומוצלחת, און אז די נייע שול זאל דינען סיי אלס בית-כנסת און סיי אלס בית-מדרש - וואו קדושה און באגייסטערונג קומען צום פולן אויסדרוק, סיי אין דאוונען מיט חסידישער ווארעמקייט און לעבעדיקייט, סיי אין לערנען תורה, נגלה און חסידות, און צו אלעם ערשטן די הלכות און דינים וועלכע זיינען נוגע דעם טאג-טעגלעכן לעבן, אין איינקלאנג מיט דעם גרונט-פרינציפ פון חכמינו ז"ל, אז דער עיקר איז דער קיום המצוות בפועל.
אלעמען איז זיכער באוואוסט, אז דער אלטער רבי בעל התניא והשלחן-ערוך און גרינדער פון חב"ד - וואס היי-יאר איז געווארן 150 יאר זינט זיין הסתלקות, און וואס די חגיגה פון אייער שול קומט פאר נאענט צו זיין יום-הגאולה, י"ט כסלו - האט זייער פיל כוחות געלעגט איינצושטעלן, אז די שול - בית כנסת ובית מדרש צוזאמען - זאל שטיין אויף דער נויטיגער הויך אין אלע הינזיכטן: בנוגע קדושת בית הכנסת, נוסח התפלה, שיעורי-לימוד ברבים, וכו'. אין אלע דורות, און ספעציעל אין אונזער צייט, איז די שול על-טהרת-הקדש דער יסוד היסודות פאר קיום התורה והמצוות פארן כלל און פארן פרט.
השם יתברך זאל געבן, אז עס זאל מקויים ווערן, אז די נייע שול זאל זיין, ווי אויבנדערמאנט, "בית אלקים וזה שער השמים" אין אלע הינזיכטן.
איך שיק מיין באגריסונג און ברכה צו אלע חברי ומתפללי בית הכנסת דחסידים, און צו די פארזאמלטע און אנטיילנעמער אין דער גרויסער שמחה של מצוה. דער אויבערשטער זאל אלעמען באגליקן, הם ובני ביתם שיחיו, אין אלץ וואס מען נויטיגט זיך בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.
און אין אנבליק פון דעם יום הגאולה י"ט כסלו הבע"ל - וואס איז אויך פארבונדן מיט דער גאולה און גייסטיגער דערלייזונג פון יעדן איינעם און איינער פון אונז (גאולתנו ופדות נפשנו) - זאל השי"ת שיקן יעדן איינעם און איינער, בתוככי כלל ישראל, א דערלייזונג פון אלע שוועריקייטן און שטערונגען, צו קענען דינען דעם אויבערשטן בשמחה ובטוב לבב, און מיר זאלן אלע זוכה זיין צו דער גאולה השלימה והאמתית על ידי משיח צדקנו בקרוב ממש.

To all participants in the celebration of laying the cornerstone and inauguration of the new synagogue of the holy congregation Beis HaChassidim Synagogue in Johannesburg, may Hashem be upon them for life.

I was pleased to receive the news about the upcoming celebration on Sunday, 15 Kislev, G‑d willing. May the Almighty help that it should take place at an auspicious and successful time, and that the new shul should serve both as a synagogue and as a study hall—where holiness and inspiration are fully expressed, both in davening with chassidic warmth and vitality, as well as in Torah study—Nigleh and Chassidus—and above all, learning those halachos and laws relevant to daily life, in accordance with our Sages' fundamental principle that the main thing is actual fulfillment of mitzvos.
It is certainly well known to all that the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch and founder of Chabad—this year marks 150 years since his passing, and your shul's celebration takes place close to his day of redemption, Yud-Tes Kislev—invested great effort to ensure that a shul—a synagogue and study hall together—should stand at the necessary height in every respect: regarding its sanctity, prayer rite (nusach), public Torah classes, etc.
In every generation—and especially in our times—the shul maintained in purity is the foundation for upholding Torah and mitzvos both for the community as a whole and for each individual.
May Hashem grant that it be fulfilled that this new shul will be, as mentioned above, "Beis Elokim VeZe Shaar HaShamayim" (the House of G‑d and this is the gate to heaven) in every respect.
I send my greetings and blessings to all members and worshippers of Beis HaChassidim Synagogue, as well as to all those gathered and participating in this great joyous mitzvah event. May the Almighty grant everyone success—they and their households—in everything they need physically and spiritually together.
And with Yud-Tes Kislev approaching—which is also connected with redemption and spiritual liberation for each one of us (our redemption and soul’s deliverance)—may Hashem send each one within all Israel deliverance from all difficulties and obstacles so we can serve Him with joy and gladness of heart. May we all merit complete true redemption through Moshiach Tzidkeinu very soon.
