שלום וברכה!
בנועם קבלתי הפ"ש מכת"ר, וכן מכתבו, על ידי הרה"ג והרה"ח וו"ח אי"א נו"מ עוסק בצ"צ וכו' מוה"ר משה יצחק שי' העכט בשובו ממסעיו וביקורו גם במחנו הט'.
שמחתי להוודע מפעולותיו בהחזקת התורה והפצתה, ובודאי יוסיף אומץ ומרץ בזה, כציווי רבותינו מעלין בקדש, שאם תמיד היתה החובה והזכות על כל אחד ואחד לקרב את אחינו בני ישראל לאביהם שבשמים ולהעמידם על דרך התורה תורת חיים ומצוותי' עליהם נאמר וחי בהם, על אחת כמה וכמה בימינו אלו, ובפרט במקום שהחרדים לדבר ה' לא רבים הם. ולמותר להדגיש שהוא תפקידו העקרי והה[כר]חיי של רב ורועה בישראל.
כיון דאזלינן מיום הבהיר ח"י אלול, יום הולדת שני המאורות הגדולים, רבנו הבעל שם טוב ורבנו הזקן בעל התניא והשולחן ערוך, דבר בעתו להזכיר תורת רבנו הזקן, היא תורת הבעש"ט, מענינא דיומא דחודש זה, חודש הרחמים והרצון, שהוא בדוגמת מלך טרם הכנסו לעירו ולהיכלו ונמצא בשדה וכל אנשי העיר יוצאים לקבל פניו, אשר אז כל או"א יכול לגשת אל המלך והוא מראה פנים שוחקות לכאו"א ומקבל בקשתם ברצון.
כבקשתו, אזכירו ואת בני ביתו שיחיו על ציון כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר בעת רצון למילוי משאלות לבם לטובה ולברכה וביחוד להצלחה בעבודתו בקדש.
ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, ברכתי שלוחה לכת"ר ולכל אשר לו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

With pleasure I received your regards and your letter via Haraha"g veHaraha"ch vavac"h iy"a nu"m involved in tzt"z etc. Moreinu HaRav Moshe Yitzchak Hecht upon his return from his travels and his visit also to our holy camp.
I was happy to hear about your activities in supporting Torah and spreading it, and certainly you will continue with strength and energy in this, as our Rebbes instructed: "Ma'alin bakodesh" (we ascend in holiness). If always there was an obligation and merit for every individual to bring our fellow Jews closer to their Father in Heaven and to set them on the path of Torah—the Torah of life—and its mitzvos about which it is said "vechai bahem" (and you shall live by them), how much more so in our times, especially in a place where those who are careful regarding the word of G‑d are few. It is unnecessary to emphasize that this is the main and essential role of a Rav and shepherd in Israel.
Since we are proceeding from the bright day of Chai Elul—the birthday of the two great luminaries: our Master the Baal Shem Tov and our Master the Elder, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch—it is timely to mention the teaching of our Master the Elder (which is also the teaching of the Baal Shem Tov) relevant to this time—the month of mercy and favor—which is like a king before entering his city and palace who is found in the field, and all the people of the city go out to greet him; then everyone can approach the king, who shows a smiling face to each one and accepts their requests willingly.
As you requested, I will mention you and your family at the resting place of my father-in-law, my revered teacher and master, at an auspicious time for fulfillment of your heart's desires for good and blessing—especially for success in your holy work.
And as we approach the new year coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing—my blessing is sent to you and all yours: a blessing for being inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year both materially and spiritually together.

Summary
