שלום וברכה!
שמחתי לקבל פ"ש מכת"ר על ידי הרה"ג והרה"ח וו"ח אי"א נו"מ עוסק בצ"צ וכו' מוה"ר משה יצחק שי' העכט, אחרי שובו ממסעיו וביקורו גם במחנו הט'. גם סיפר לי על דבר הסבר פנים יפות שהראה לו כת"ר, ותשואות חן חן למר.
בטח מנצל כת"ר משרתו הרמה וכל האפשריות להחזקת התורה תורת חיים
ומצוותי' עליהם נאמר וחי בהם כיד ה' הטובה עליו, שאם תמיד היתה החובה והזכות על כל אחד ואחד לקרב את אחינו בני ישראל לאביהם שבשמים ולהעמידם על דרך התורה והמצוה בחיי היום-יום, על אחת כמה וכמה בימינו אלה, ובפרט בהנוגע לרב ורועה בישראל. ויהי רצון שיעשה מתוך שמחה וטוב לבב ובאופן דמוסיף והולך, כציווי רבותינו ז"ל מעלין בקדש.
כיון דאזלינן מיום הבהיר ח"י אלול, יום הולדת את שני המאורות הגדולים, רבנו הבעל שם טוב ורבנו הזקן בעל התניא והשלחן ערוך, דבר בעתו הוא להזכיר תורת רבנו הזקן היא תורת הבעש"ט מענינא דיומא דחודש זה, חודש הרחמים והרצון, שהוא בדוגמת מלך טרם הכנסו לעירו ולהיכלו ונמצא בשדה וכל אנשי העיר יוצאים לקבל פניו, אשר אז כל או"א יכול לגשת אליו והמלך מראה פנים שוחקות לכל או"א ומקבל בקשתם ברצון.
ולקראת השנה החדשה הבאה עלינו ועל כל ישראל לטובה ולברכה, ברכתי שלוחה לכת"ר ולכל אשר לו, ברכת כתיבה וחתימה טובה לשנה טובה ומתוקה בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

I was happy to receive regards from your honor through Haraha"g veHaraha"ch vavac"h iy"a nu"m one who is involved in tzt"z etc. Moreinu HaRav Moshe Yitzchak Shey' Hecht, after his return from his travels and his visit also to our camp here. He also told me about the gracious reception you showed him; many thanks to you.
Certainly your honor utilizes your exalted position and all available opportunities to strengthen Torah—the Torah of life—and its mitzvos about which it is said "veChai Bahem (and you shall live by them)" as G‑d has granted you success. If at all times it was both an obligation and privilege for every individual to draw our fellow Jews closer to their Father in Heaven and establish them on the path of Torah and mitzvah in daily life—how much more so in our days, especially regarding a Rav and shepherd in Israel.
May it be G‑d's will that you do so with joy and gladness of heart, ever increasing as our Sages taught: "ma'alin baKodesh (we ascend in holiness)."
Since we are coming from the luminous day of Chai Elul—the birthday of the two great luminaries: our Master the Baal Shem Tov and our Master the Alter Rebbe, author of Tanya and Shulchan Aruch—it is timely to mention that the teachings of the Alter Rebbe are those of the Baal Shem Tov relevant to this time: this month is one of mercy and favor. It is like a king before entering his city and palace who is found in the field; all townspeople go out to greet him—then everyone can approach him, and the king shows a smiling face to each person and willingly accepts their requests.
As we approach the new year that is coming upon us and all Israel for good and blessing, my blessing is extended to your honor and all yours—a blessing for being inscribed and sealed for a good and sweet year both materially and spiritually together.
