בנועם קבלתי מכתבם וכן תמונתם, וכבקשתם אזכירם לטובה ולברכה.
כבר מלתי אמורה לבוגרים ומסיימים שבעניני קדושה בכלל, ובלימוד התורה בפרט, לא שייך סיום אלא במובן של התחלה והכנה למדריגה יותר גבוה' בלימוד התורה ובחיי יום-יום על פי תורה ומצוותי'. ולכן התקוה חזקה שכל אחד ואחד מכם ימשיך וילך בכח זה בהתקשרות ודבקות אמתית בדרך התורה והמצוות בחיות וחום חסידותיים, מוסיף והולך.
וכיון שמכתבם נכתב ערב זמן מתן תורתנו, תורת חיים ותורה נצחיית, בודאי יזכרו תמיד כי לא ניתנה התורה עד שנעשו בנינו ערבים בעדינו, הרי ערבות זו נוגעת לכל עם בני ישראל, ובידיכם לקיימה, הן בנוגע לעצמכם והן בהשפעה על זולתכם, והובטחנו הבא לטהר, וכדיוק בזה ליטהר ולטהר אחרים, מסייעין אותו.
והשי"ת יצליח את כל אחד ואחד מכם בגשמיות וברוחניות גם יחד.

I pleasantly received your letter and your photograph. As you requested, I will mention you for good and for blessing.
I have already stated to graduates and those completing studies that in matters of holiness in general—and Torah study in particular—there is no true completion except as a beginning and preparation for a higher level in Torah learning and daily life according to Torah and its mitzvos. Therefore, there is strong hope that each of you will continue forward with this strength, with true connection and attachment to the path of Torah and mitzvos with chassidic vitality and warmth—always increasing.
Since your letter was written on the eve of the time of the giving of our Torah—a Torah of life and an eternal Torah—you will surely always remember that the Torah was only given after our children became guarantors for us. This mutual responsibility applies to all the Jewish people, and it is in your hands to fulfill it—both regarding yourselves and influencing others. We are assured: "One who comes to purify," as precisely stated: "to be purified and to purify others," is assisted.
May Hashem grant success to each one of you both materially and spiritually together.
