I acknowledge receipt of your letters, and at an auspicious time you and all those you write about will be mentioned at the holy Tziyun of my father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal l'havdil ben chayim mezichro tzadik v'kadosh livracha zechuso yagen aleinu (of blessed memory), in accordance with the content of your letter. May it be G‑d's will that you receive good news in all these matters.

We are now in the months of Adar, whose essence is the days of Purim—a month of success for Jews in all their affairs. It is worth noting, as is known from our Sages (Megillah 13b and elsewhere), that the miracle of Purim was dependent on the fact that Moshe Rabbeinu was born in Adar. Our Sages further explain that this was a leap year and his birth was in Adar Rishon (Sotah 12b). Especially since our Talmud differs from the Yerushalmi (Megillah chapter 1 halachah 5) and does not bring (Megillah 6b) the opinion that that year (when lots were cast) was a leap year.

It is also known—the explanation of the Arizal on the verse: "VeHaYamim HaEileh (these days) are remembered (and thus also) performed."
