במענה למכתבה מר"ח טבת, בו כותבת על דבר שדואגת וכו' ושואלת עצה בזה.
ועצה היעוצה וגם פשוטה היא ההתחזקות בבטחון בהשם יתברך בורא עולם ומנהיגו שהוא המשגיח על כל אחד ואחת בהשגחה פרטית, ובהתבוננות בדברי נעים זמירות ישראל, בשם כל אחד ואחת בהשגחה פרטית, ובהתבוננות בדברי נעים זמירות ישראל, בשם כל אחד מבני ישראל, ה' רועי לא אחסר, ה' לי לא אירא, ותלמוד איזה פעמים מזמור האמור (סימן כ"ג בתהלים) עד שתדע תוכנו היטיב ומזמן לזמן תתבונן בזה, והרי הצורר המוזכר במזמור זה כולל גם היצר הרע ועניניו, שהם צוררים הפנימים של איש ואשה הישראלים.
ובפרט מובן הענין ע"פ המבואר בתורת החסידות איך שהשי"ת הוא עצם הטוב ומטבע הטוב להיטיב ומשגיח על כל אחד ואחת בהשגחה פרטית.
ולכתבה אודות העבר, הרי אין לך דבר העומד בפני התשובה, אלא שגם תשובה צריכה להיות מתוך בטחון חזק בהשם יתברך ולא חס ושלום מיאוש.
בטח נוטלת חלק בפעולות נשי חב"ד.

In response to your letter from Rosh Chodesh Teves, in which you write about something that worries you, etc., and you ask for advice regarding this.
The advised and also simple counsel is to strengthen trust in Hashem, blessed be He, Creator of the world and its Guide, who watches over each and every one with individual Divine Providence. By contemplating the words of the Sweet Singer of Israel—on behalf of every Jew—'Hashem Ro'i Lo Echsar' ("The L‑rd is my shepherd; I shall not lack"), 'Hashem Li Lo Ira' ("The L‑rd is with me; I will not fear"), and by studying several times the aforementioned psalm (chapter 23 in Tehillim) until you know its content well and from time to time reflecting on it—for the enemy mentioned in this psalm also includes the yetzer hara and its matters, which are the inner enemies of every Jewish man and woman.
This matter is especially understood according to what is explained in Chassidus: how Hashem is the essence of good, and it is the nature of good to do good, and He watches over each person with individual Divine Providence.
Regarding what you wrote about the past: there is nothing that stands in the way of teshuvah. However, teshuvah must also be done with strong trust in Hashem, blessed be He, and not G‑d forbid out of despair.
