Shalom u'Vrachah!
I acknowledge receipt of your letter. As we stand between the 10th and 19th of Kislev, between redemption and redemption—as is known from the well-known talk of my father-in-law, the Rebbe—these days are similar to birth and days of preparation for a bris. According to what is understood from the words of Rabbeinu HaZaken in his Shulchan HaZahav regarding entering Avraham Avinu's covenant through the mitzvah of milah—the entry of the holy soul into a person in a way that affects his body and limbs—and as our Sages say, 'All beginnings are difficult,' it can be said that in this entry there is a higher empowerment and advantage over the level of entry 'in education for Torah and mitzvos which the Sages obligated to educate.' And perhaps this also applies to 'the completion and main entry of the holy soul,' which is when he becomes Bar Mitzvah.
May it be G‑d's will that the preparation will be fitting for the hoped-for actions—and in the accepted wording: actions regarding learning Chassidus and its ways—and may all this be with joy and gladness of heart, according to our Rebbeim's demand that all matters should be conducted inwardly—with inner and true joy.
With blessing for good news in all mentioned above, and for a good year in learning Chassidus and its ways.
Summary
The Rebbe teaches that the days between Yud and Yud Tes Kislev are like spiritual preparation for entering holiness. He encourages us to approach these times with inner joy, focusing on learning Chassidus and living its ways deeply.
