After a long pause, your letter from the 6th of M"Ch was received, in which you write about the matters you have been involved with regarding your livelihood, and you mention that it is difficult to find suitable work. It is indeed surprising, for our Sages said: 'He Who gives life gives sustenance,' and it is explained in Kuntres U'Maayan that this must come through work and effort, as it is written: 'And the L‑rd your G‑d will bless you in all that you do,' which makes it clear that there certainly is suitable work available for you. However, like all matters of this world, perhaps it requires effort and diligence. Since this is the way of the world, it is understood that one should not be discouraged by this. It has already been said: 'Man was born to toil,' and the verse states: 'When you eat the labor of your hands, you are fortunate...' My hope is that immediately upon receiving this letter you will consult with your friends—Anash—in your area. Present to them in detail what you have done until now: whether you have made the necessary efforts but have not found success yet, or if perhaps you have not yet tried sufficiently. As it has already been said: 'Salvation comes with much counsel.'
