Now I have received your letter in which you inform me about your sons, may they live, and surely you are using your influence on them so that they will be channels for spreading the wellsprings outward, especially your eldest son, Mr. David, may he live, who serves in the army. There it is especially necessary to illuminate them with the light of Torah—this is the Torah of Chassidus and Chassidic conduct and the atmosphere of Chassidus. And who knows if it was for this time that he attained this position. It is well known the Alter Rebbe's assurance to all those who strive in his matters—that he was assured they would succeed in this.

Regarding your note as to why at the end of Parshas Pekudei there is no marking of the total number of verses in the section: One should check in the earliest printings, for in my opinion this is only an omission by the printer, and this continued with subsequent printers who followed him. Perhaps it was originally written 'without any sign,' and the intent was that there are ninety-two verses in the section. The young typesetter took this literally as meaning there is no sign here and omitted these words out of lack of understanding.
