לאחרי הפסק ארוך נתקבל מכתבו מד' אלול עם הפ"נ המצורף שיקרא בעת רצון על הציון הק' של כ"ק מו"ח אדמו"ר זצוקללה"ה נבג"מ זי"ע, ויהי רצון שכשם שהביא הבקשה כן יבשר טוב בזה.
ולפלא על אנ"ש וביחוד התמימים, שלמרות שכמה פעמים העירותי שלולי התרגלו לכתוב בשו"ט בטוב הנראה והנגלה, אשר כו"כ הזדמנויות ישנם בזה, בודאי שזה הי' ממעט בההזדמנויות לכתוב מענינים שהם מחסדים המכוסים. ולע"ע לא ניכרת הזזה בזה.
ובהמצאנו בימי רחמים ורצון אלו, יהי רצון שגם בזה ישתנה הדבר מן הקצה אל הקצה, ז.א. שחסדים המכוסים יתגלו, ואך טוב בטוב הנראה יבשרו איש לרעהו.

Shalom u'Vrachah! [9 Elul 5721]
After a long pause, your letter from the 4th of Elul was received with the attached pan, which will be read at an auspicious time at the holy resting place of my revered father-in-law, the Rebbe zatzukal lehe nbagam zya. May it be G‑d's will that just as you brought your request, so too you will bring good news in this matter.
It is surprising regarding Anash and especially the Temimim, that although I have pointed out several times that if they would get used to writing with good news—visible and revealed good—which there are many opportunities for this, surely this would lessen the occasions to write about matters that are hidden kindnesses. Yet so far no change is noticeable in this regard.
As we find ourselves in these days of mercy and favor, may it be G‑d's will that also in this matter things should change completely—that is, that hidden kindnesses should be revealed, and only good—visible good—should be shared from one person to another.
