In response to your letter from the 25th of Menachem Av, and the three letters that preceded it. It is very surprising that you are so agitated by a letter you received, and wish to interpret it as if there has been a change in my attitude toward you. It is obvious—I am not responsible for what someone else writes. Indeed—there has been no change in my attitude toward you.

Just as before, so too now, my hope is that you are currently (and will continue in the future) involved in spreading Chassidus in your surroundings, your city, and wherever your influence reaches. Do this with joy and gladness of heart, always increasing.

Regarding what you wrote about another person's activities in the city, etc.—there is plenty of work in spreading the wellsprings and Judaism for both of you; it would even suffice for many more people if they were present...

My hope is that since we have entered the month of Elul, you will also strengthen your trust in Hashem Yisbarach who watches over each person with individual Divine Providence. After all, we begin to say twice daily: L'David Hashem Ori V'Yishi ("The L‑rd is my light and my salvation") etc.
